Boston Vacation… 2018

No, I’m not in Boston currently… but since we’re all quarantined, I thought I’d reminisce about the better days. I didn’t start this blog until my Nashville trip, this past summer, so I have a few vacations previous to that trip that I would eventually like to post here as well.

So. Boston. Boston is an amazing little town! I loved every second I was there! I found the city and it’s people to be very charming, respectful, and helpful. Driving around one day, I ended up in the wrong lane, and a taxi driver actually slowed down to let me in front of him!! I mean, when does something like that happen? My friend, Stacy, and I, were there for the Fourth of July. Now, if you want to be anyplace on the Fourth, Boston is the place! It is oozing with Americana pride. We passed many open top jeeps with flag swaying on flagpoles, and people patriotically beeping their horns in approval and support.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s back up to the beginning. It’s Monday July 2nd, and I was driving up to Boston, a beautiful 5 hour drive from PA. Literally, an hour of that was CT rush hour traffic. On the way home, on Saturday morning, it was a very nice FOUR hour drive! lol! Stacy was flying up from Florida, but her flight was delayed due to lightening storms in the area. No matter, it gave me time to check in to our hotel, “enVision.” Since I had my car, we decided to save some money and stay outside of Boston. I found this very nice hotel, that was originally a sewing factory! (You’ll see the pictures later of the old Singer sewing machines on the wall.) It was in the town of Everett, about a 20 minute drive into the city. I picked Stacy up from Boston Logan around 10, then to crash and rest up for our Boston experience!
